![]() ![]() If it fits snuggly and doesnt jiggle or move at all, it is in there correctly its not supposed to stay all the way on the bottom part, but the part that come up a little (its really hard to describe this in writing ) and make sure you push the tab (#2) all the way down till the tab at the end of the "hook" (#3) sits on top of the caliper (thats how you know if its in right cause otherwise there is nothing holding the clip in and there is no pressure on the pads) If you dont push down (inward) hard enough at #1 then you wont be able to get the clip to sit where the pin will sit in the correct notch on the hook part. To put it in correctly set it in place, make sure the pin is all the way through, then push down in the middle of the clip (just above the "hook" where the pin sits on top of #1) and then push down on the tab that that sticks up (push towards the bottom of the caliper #2) and push it till the small tab on the end of the "hook" sits on top of the caliper (#3) its supposed to in there tightly and keep pressure on the pads to keep them in place. If its free to move around then it means that its not in correctly. I keep referencing that side to compare and can't seem to find out what I'm doing wrong.īrake experts, anything you suggest as far as how to bend it/clip it so it stays tight? I'm kind of at a loss. Keep in mind, the one in the rear passenger's side hasn't given me any problems. I'm down to my last clip and have tried manipulating it every way possible, trying to get a more "snug" fit. After driving to and from work, I noticed that, too, had fallen off. I bought a Carlson replacement hardware kit from eBay, and put a new clip on. Lo and behold, the anti-rattle clip was missing, causing that slider pin to just jump around upon hitting bigger bumps in the road. I was driving around with the windows down and noticed a "loose change" noise from that particular wheel area. After replacing my brakes with brand new rotors and pads, I'm having a lot of trouble with the anti-rattle clip that sits on the caliper on the rear driver's side. ![]()
